The oppression and systemic racism in Canada has a LONG history, and it was only recently that our peoples were "allowed" to practice tradition and ceremony.
It is unbelievable to think that traditional dance and ceremony (Powwow) was not allowed in Canada until 1951. This shirt mixes a familiar 70's band shirt design with an Indigenous flare to highlight this unfavorable piece of history.
